ROLLING COVERAGE OF HAWKESBURY COUNCIL ELECTION


The Liberal Party has taken out the first seat on Hawkesbury Council having obtained quota before 9pm.


This means that the number one candidate on their ticket - Sarah McMahon has been elected to Council.


Shooters, Farmers and Fishers led by candidate, Shane Djuric is currently about 500 votes shy of reaching quota while the Independent party led by candidate Mary Lyons-Buckett and Labor led by Amanda Kotlash remain about 1000 votes from quota.


(Edited) Voting shows a very high informal/other vote sitting at more than 21 per cent at 9pm tonight. These votes are potentially below the line votes that need clarification prior to being counted. In the last Hawkesbury Council elections the informal vote sat at about 5 per cent.

Pre-poll voting will have a significant impact on the Hawkesbury election results. This election 14,000 votes were cast through pre-poll, that’s 28 pct of the vote.


10pm 14/9/24

With more than 33,000 votes counted Shooters, Farmers and Fishers Party candidate Shane Djuric, Independent candidate Mary Lyons-Buckett, Independent candidate Nathan Zamprogno, The Greens candidate Danielle Wheeler, and Labor’s Amanda Kotlash will all be returned to Council.
