Man Charged after Weapons Allegedly Located inside Vehicle – South Windsor


A man has been charged with 10 offences after several weapons were allegedly located inside a vehicle in South Windsor.


About 3am on Saturday 25th January officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command’s Proactive Crime Team were conducting patrols in South Windsor when they observed a utility with registration plates that allegedly did not match the vehicle.


Police stopped the vehicle and, following a search, several weapons and items of interest were located and seized.


The driver of the vehicle – a 25-year-old man – was arrested and taken to Windsor Police Station, where he was charged with 10 offences:


  • Armed with intent commit indictable offence,
  • Custody of knife in public place,
  • Goods in personal custody suspected being stolen,
  • Have custody of an offensive implement in a public place,
  • Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period,
  • Use unregistered registrable Class A motor vehicle on road,
  • Use uninsured motor vehicle on road,
  • Use vehicle on road or road related area motor vehicle tax not paid,
  • Unlawfully possess number plates, and
  • Use registrable vehicle not display authorised number plates.


He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court .
