A teenage boy has died following a single-vehicle crash last night.

Emergency services were called to Spence Road, Berkshire Park, just after 8pm on 11 February following reports that a Hyundai hatchback had left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command arrived to find the driver, an 18-year-old man and the sole occupant of the vehicle, critically injured. Despite efforts by police, he died at the scene.

A crime scene was established, and police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police said a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
