As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Sales and Business Development Executive to spearhead our advertising sales efforts and expand our client base among corporate and government sectors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with corporate clients and government agencies.

- Identify and engage potential clients for advertising opportunities in our newspaper and digital platforms.

- Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.

- Collaborate closely with our publishing team to ensure seamless advertisement integration.

- Monitor sales performance, providing regular reports and adjusting strategies to meet targets.

- Act as the primary business owner for assigned clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

- Expand existing customer relationships to drive additional revenue opportunities.

- Represent the Hawkesbury Post at industry conferences, panel discussions, and other networking events.

 

Ideal Candidate:

The primary focus of this Senior, Sales and Business Development role will be to increase advertising sales for the Hawkebsury Post. As the sales leader, you will be the primary business owner for customers as well as new prospects. This is a hands-on sales role. The role will require you to actively work with individual customers to understand their business objectives, and requirements. This roles requires entrepreneurial mindset including building a business plan and developing relationships with strategic partners.

- At least 7 years of proven experience in advertising sales, preferably within newspapers or digital media.

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

- Strong initiative and the ability to work independently.

- Excellent relationship-building capabilities.

- Experience managing and originating corporate and government clients.

- Entrepreneurial mindset with a drive to exceed targets and contribute to the company’s success.

- Own car and valid driver’s license.
